While the group camps in the mountains, almost home, Felix and Augustín hurry ahead to discuss the possible new comer with the family and inevitably the rest of the Encanto. The rest of the crew keep referring to the Encanto as “the village”, too nervous to talk about their hidden home with an outsider, especially not knowing if she’ll be accepted. That’s when Bruno asks her to come back with them. She said most recently, she has been looking for a place to call home but hasn’t found anywhere worth settling yet. She has been on her own for most of her life, traveling from place to place, making money by selling potions and spells, and of course fortune telling. She was also looking for a mystery love she kept seeing in her cards. She’s something of a fortune teller herself, practicing scrying and palm reading. Her name is Vanessa and she comes from the islands. A hooded figure approaches them and they all begin to scream, when the mystery woman pulls her hood down and calmly offers them some marshmallows to roast. The men made camp for the evening and they’re telling ghost stories by the fire when they hear leaves rustling and twigs snap. Felix, Augustín, Camilo, and Antonio go with him and they all have an hilarious mini adventure they dub the Magnificent Expedition with the Men of Madrigal.

In each vision she appears to be moving closer and closer to Columbia, and eventually not too far from the mountains protecting the Encanto.īruno finally resolves to go seek out his mysterious vision woman. Over and over again he has visions about a beautiful, mysterious woman in various places. He realized he never envisioned his own future.
